Trekkers land in Delta, receive royal welcome

The duo of Oladele Nihi and his female counterpart Gloria (yes, she went back to complete the trek after dropping out some days back), undertaking the road trip from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, to Otuoke in Bayelsa State, the hometown of President Goodluck Jonathan to honour him as the hero of Nigeria's democracy, have made tremendous progress as they have entered Delta State, a state which is not too far from their target destination.

As it was in most places they have passed through, there was a kind of royal welcome for them as the Chairman of Ika South local government area, members of his cabinet, PDP stalwarts, and other supporters of the President came out enmasse to welcome the determined young Nigerians.

Even men of the Nigerian Police and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), were not left out as they showered Nihi and Gloria with so much love and gifts.

Taking to their Twitter handle, the duo posted photos of their progress just as the PDP members accompanied them to trek to Agbor area of the state in solidarity with their efforts.
