PSG forward Bradley Barcola has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool, signaling a potential summer move to Anfield, according to French outlet L'Équipe. The newspaper claims the player has already held discussions with the club and even spoken with English manager Andoni Iraola. Despite this significant step, a contractual agreement has not yet been finalized.
The 23-year-old had previously decided against renewing his contract with PSG, which expires in June 2028, and has now given his approval for a switch to the English giants. Barcola is now awaiting an understanding between the two clubs that would facilitate his move to the Premier League.
Reports from France indicate that talks have already commenced between Liverpool officials and their Parisian counterparts, where Portuguese sporting director Luís Campos holds an advisory role.
Blocked Paths at Home
Barcola was acquired from Lyon for €45 million in 2023 and has been part of PSG's Champions League campaigns in the last two years, as well as three French league titles. However, he is far from being the club's primary forward, ranking behind Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the pecking order. In 159 appearances for the club, he has scored 39 goals.
Meanwhile, Liverpool continues its search for a forward to bolster Andoni Iraola's attacking options, especially with Mohamed Salah's impending departure. Victor Muñoz has already been signed from Osasuna, but the club is still actively seeking a winger. They have also reportedly made an approach for Maghnes Akliouche of Monaco, who, coincidentally, is also being monitored by PSG.
