Grêmio secured a 3-1 victory over Cruzeiro in their final warm-up match before the Brasileirão season resumes. “He’s a player who featured in the World Cup, played matches, and operates on the left wing and through the middle. He’s joining a group committed to hard work and our season objectives. I believe he has the ability to integrate into our squad,” the Portuguese coach stated during his press conference.

Jovane Cabral, 28, was a free agent after his contract with Estrela da Amadora, where he spent the last two seasons, expired. The winger came through the ranks at Sporting CP, establishing himself in the senior team. During his time with the Lions, he won a league title, a Portuguese Cup, three League Cups, and a Supertaça. Subsequently, he gained international experience through loan spells at Lazio, Salernitana, and Olympiacos. He returned to Portugal with Estrela da Amadora, and now embarks on a new adventure outside of Portugal with Grêmio.
