Transfer Market: Former Benfica Star Finds New Lease on Life, Attracts English Giant

Former Benfica midfielder, Kokçu, has emerged as a standout performer for Besiktas, proving to be a pivotal figure in their attacking strategy. His on-field influence is undeniable, not only due to his tactical intelligence but also his impressive statistics: in 53 official appearances for Besiktas, Kokçu has netted 14 goals and provided 12 assists.

The Turkish international's impressive numbers and performances have reportedly piqued the interest of several English clubs. Turkish media outlets are highlighting Liverpool, who are said to be considering a bid in the upcoming transfer window. However, before formalizing any offer, the Reds are reportedly keen to continue scouting the player, with observers expected at his matches.

Despite Liverpool's reported interest, the Besiktas board has adopted a firm stance, stating they have no intention of negotiating Kokçu's departure in January. The former Benfica star is considered a key component in achieving the club's objectives for the current season, which include a title challenge and a strong showing in European competitions.

This season, Kokçu has already contributed four goals and five assists in 12 appearances for the Black Eagles.
