Dinamo Bucharest is reportedly considering activating the €500,000 purchase clause to secure the permanent signing of Alaa Bellaarouch. The 24-year-old Moroccan goalkeeper, currently on loan from SC Braga, has impressed the Romanian club's management with his performances.
Bellaarouch has been a standout player for the team since his arrival at the start of the 2026/2027 season. His displays have earned him a reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the Romanian league, with his most recent high-level performance coming in the 1-0 victory over rivals Rapid.
Following the derby, Dinamo president Andrei Nicolescu confirmed to the Fanatik portal the club's intention to acquire the player's full rights. "The clause for a permanent transfer from Braga is €500,000, and we considered activating it before the start of the championship. If things continue this way, we will activate it; it seems very logical," stated the executive.
Nicolescu further emphasized the importance of the player's profile, which aligns with the mentality coach Nuno Campos aims to instill. "I sensed in him what Nuno Campos wants to build in a player's psychological profile," he added.
Should the transfer materialize for €500,000, half of that amount (€250,000) will go to Strasbourg, the French club that holds 50% of the player's economic rights. SC Braga acquired Bellaarouch from Strasbourg in July 2025 for €300,000, but the goalkeeper featured in only two matches for the Portuguese club's senior team, conceding three goals.
