Five members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have lost their lives in Bayelsa State after a fatal boat accident.

The crash occurred along the Ekeremor waterways at about 5pm on Saturday, November 1, after the party's Ward Congresses were rounded up.
According to Sahara Reporters, a former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Peremobowei Ebebi narrowly escaped death in the accident as he and six other passengers were rescued by local divers.
Only three corpses out of five have been recovered and no official confirmation has been given of the incident or the casualties involved.
