Former Tottenham defender Chris Hughton, who made nearly 400 appearances for the 'Spurs', extended his greetings to Bulgarian football legend Dimitar Berbatov. This occurred during the Premier League match between Spurs and Brighton, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Bulgarian financier Kiril Evtimov, who was present at the stadium, met with Hughton after the final whistle. The Irishman served as assistant to Martin Jol in North London during Berbatov's standout period at the club.
It was for Berbatov that the 67-year-old specialist sent a video message via the Burgas native, warmly greeting the former Bulgaria captain.
"Berba, I hope you're doing well! Tottenham is struggling this season, although they play decently at times. We miss your goal-scoring prowess," shared the former Ghana national team coach. Over the years, Chris Hughton has consistently spoken highly of the excellent impression Bulgaria's all-time leading scorer left at White Hart Lane. Evtimov also met with another Spurs legend, Ledley King, to whom he presented a traditional branded Bulgarian souvenir bag.
