Tottenham Announce Split with Igor Tudor, Interim Manager Undecided for Season's End
Tottenham and Igor Tudor have parted ways by mutual consent, the club announced. The Croatian manager took over the 'Spurs' in mid-February following Thomas Frank's dismissal, signing a contract until the end of the season with the task of securing the team's Premier League status. However, the London side's performance did not improve under his leadership. In his seven matches, Tudor managed just one win, five losses, and one draw. In the league, Tottenham suffered four defeats, earning their only point in an away fixture against Liverpool.
“We can confirm that Igor Tudor is leaving the club by mutual consent. Tomislav Rogic and Ricardo Ragnacci are also departing their roles as goalkeeping coach and fitness coach, respectively. We thank all three for their efforts over these six weeks. We also acknowledge the recent bereavement Igor has experienced and extend our support to him and his family. We will announce the team's new coach as soon as possible,” read the official club statement.
Tottenham remains under threat of relegation, currently sitting in 17th place, just above the drop zone, with 30 points. West Ham is only one point behind them and is the first team in the relegation places.
