ASVEL entered the new season with high ambitions, but financial constraints forced them to part ways with several players even before the season began.

Sylvain Francisco, Daniel Theis, and Armoni Brooks, who went on loan to Valencia, all departed the club.

ASVEL has been in the spotlight over the past few weeks. Amidst this, club president Tony Parker gave an interview to "Legend," where he stated his vision of ASVEL one day winning "NBA Europe," a competition set to launch on the Old Continent next season.

However, to avoid any misinterpretations of his statement, Parker immediately took to social media to clarify that ASVEL is currently part of the EuroLeague. He envisions the club at the top of a unified competition, which he believes will soon materialize once the EuroLeague and NBA reach an agreement.

Just to clarify and avoid any misunderstanding, we are currently a EuroLeague team. I would love for the EuroLeague and NBA to reach an agreement, and for LDLC ASVEL to win in the merged competition.Tony Parker

In the aforementioned interview, Parker expressed his belief that ASVEL would be the winner of "NBA Europe."

My dream would be to one day win with ASVEL and become the NBA Europe champion. That would be huge. I think the best investment, if all goes well, will be ASVEL with NBA Europe.Tony Parker
