Tony Grey, a renowned musician of the 70s and 80s era in Nigeria has died at the age of 70.

The veteran musician who has been treating diabetes and prostate cancer eventually loses his life to the killer diseases.

Tony Grey reportedly died in the early hours of Monday, April 10, 2017.

Grey's family were unable to raise the needed funds in the sum of N10 million to treat him abroad according to the Vanguard.

Tony Grey’s eldest son, Mr. Houston Grey who confirmed the news of his father’s demise said, he died at about 4:00 am at his residence at Cruz Land, Marine Quarters, Warri in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Tony Grey became popular in the 70s and 80s for his evergreen songs such as 'Oh my darling' featuring  The Ozimba Messengers, 'She is My love’, and ‘Come Back Love’ .

Born 70 years ago, Tony Grey, popularly known as Ozimba of Africa hailed from Aboh town in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.
