Tommy Fury secured a points victory over Eddie Hall in a bout billed as "Beauty vs. The Beast."
The more experienced Fury stuck to a smart, tactical game plan to earn a split decision win in the heavyweight exhibition match, which headlined a fight gala in Manchester, England, on Saturday. Guest judges Tony Bellew (59-56) and Derek Chisora (58-56) scored the fight for Fury, while Chase DeMoor had it even (57-57).
Following the fight, Chase DeMoor, the Misfits Boxing heavyweight champion, entered the ring to confront Fury. However, in his post-fight interview, Fury dismissed the idea of a future bout between them.
Fury and Hall showed mutual respect after the fight. Fury praised Hall for his effort, despite his limited combat sports experience. The two were friends before the match was organized, and there was no animosity between them after exchanging blows for six rounds.
Fury's next fight remains uncertain.
