Actress confirms role in Marvel's 'Doctor Strange'
Tilda Swinton will indeed be staring alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the upcoming Marvel's 'Doctor Strange'.
undefinedstating that Swinton was in talks to star in theĀ Marvel's 'Doctor Strange' movie.
Swinton confirmed her role, "We're so far in talks we're not talking anymore. It's done!" she told Screen Crush.
To be directed by Derrickson, the movie stars Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange.
Swinton will play The Ancient One: a fictional character in the Marvel Universe. He was the mentor of Doctor Strange and existed as the "Sorcerer Supreme", a title that he wins, during the 20th century AD.
"The idea of playing The Ancient One is really just too tickling," Swinton laughs.Ā "I canāt say no to that!Ā I just really liked the premise of this and the idea of playing this character.
Iām a Marvel fan and I think this particular world thatĀ Doctor StrangeĀ goes into is really, really,Ā reallyĀ exciting. Iām really interested as both an actor and a fan to see whatās done in this particular world. Itās all about creativity.

Shooting kicks off for Doctor StrangeĀ this November, and will be out in October 28, 2016.
