Norman Nato's split from Nissan and Maximilian Günther's exit from DS Penske have been confirmed, setting the stage for a full-blown "silly season" in Formula E. Additionally, Mitch Evans is leaving Jaguar, making him the most significant figure in the upcoming driver market. Two other stars, Lucas di Grassi and Sébastien Buemi, are also leaving the world championship after years of being synonymous with electric racing.

Nato's departure from Nissan had been anticipated for much of the campaign. For the second consecutive season, he failed to adequately support Oliver Rowland and the Japanese manufacturer in the constructors' battle.

The Frenchman finished second-to-last in the drivers' championship with a modest 20 points – 117 fewer than his teammate Rowland. Victor Martins is tipped as the favorite to partner Rowland next season.

Nato is leaving Formula E to pursue new challenges, with Nissan team principal Tommaso Volpe confirming the split after the London finale.

"I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Norman, who was a huge part of our Gen3 project," Volpe stated. "He was with us for three of the last four years and delivered Nissan's first Formula E podium in Season 9. He was fundamental to our successes thanks to his dedication and hard work both on and off the track. We wish him all the best."

As for Günther, according to information from The Race, the German will join Envision for the start of next season. Last week, Envision announced the departure of both its drivers, Sébastien Buemi and Joel Eriksson, opening up two spots.

Season 12 was a challenging one for Günther, who announced his separation from DS Penske on social media on Monday.

"London was my last race weekend with DS Penske. Two seasons, many unforgettable moments, victories, pole positions, and challenges we overcame together. I am very grateful to everyone in the team for their dedication and contribution, but most of all for the close relationships that developed along the way. It was a great chapter in my career. The Gen4 era awaits, and I am truly excited for what's next," Günther wrote.
