This Woman Narrowly Dodged An Axe Flying Straight At Her Head
Trendy axe-throwing venues have been blowing up as a fun activity for friends, non-boring date nights, and bachelor/bachelorette parties. But a viral video might make you rethink trying it.
Instagram user Cam Huber posted a video of a woman named Ainsley throwing an axe at a target at a facility that appears to be Bad Axe Throwing. First, she lines herself up with the target (The hashtag #WATL on the wall stands for World Axe Throwing League , in case you were wondering), and holds the axe with both hands behind her head. Then, she hurls it at the wall, but misses. When the axe hits the ground, it ricochets back, straight toward her head. The whole thing happens in a matter of seconds.
Luckily shes able to quickly turn and duck out of the way, and Huber, whos filming the video, isnt in the line of fire. The axe barely misses Ainsley's head and flies back behind her.

Ainsley laughs it off (and gives a gorgeous hair flip as she recovers), but the situation could have been really, really bad. She later reposted the video to her own account ( @ainsrae ), saying in the caption, That axe almost got me Thanks @camdhuber for capturing this...so glad it missed you!
Ainsley is lucky her reflexes kicked in in time. Even though axe-throwing might seem like a fun activity, it can clearly be dangerous. And while most people worry about missing their target and hitting someone else, this video shows that your own throw can be just as deadly!
