Valencia arrived in Belgrade with the reputation of being one of this season's top EuroLeague teams, a squad poised to contend for first place with Fenerbahçe, Olympiacos, and Real Madrid through the regular season. Tonight, on the Belgrade Arena court, they reaffirmed that status, proving their high ranking is no fluke. However, despite their position among Europe's basketball elite this season, they simply couldn't overcome Partizan tonight. After an exhausting, trench warfare battle that stretched into two overtimes, the Black and Whites handed the 'Bats' a defeat that could push them towards the play-in rather than the top, securing their fifth consecutive elite victory with a final score of 110:104.

Partizan played phenomenally, repeatedly overcoming significant deficits. Dylan Osetkowski, Karlik Jones (who was excellent offensively and made a crucial defensive play that forced overtime), and Sterling Brown particularly stood out, carrying the entire team on their shoulders.

Sterling Brown played the most significant role in the Black and Whites' remarkable comeback, finally reminding everyone in the final minutes of the game of the player who was one of Partizan's most potent weapons last season.

The American guard has struggled terribly with his offensive output since the start of the season. For instance, in his last two games (against Asvel and Crvena Zvezda), he scored a mere 11 points combined. Throughout the year, his performance has been inconsistent; he frequently misses his signature shots, and his defensive tenacity is no longer the 'glue' it once was.

Tonight, however, he delivered a phenomenal performance, resurrecting the team with a flurry of points in the final quarter. He was incredibly aggressive, patiently creating optimal shooting positions, expertly coming off screens, and finding open spaces – in short, he was in his recognizable, lethal mode. And when Brown is in such form and firing on all cylinders, few opponents can escape that inferno.

He dominated the court in the second, decisive overtime just as he had in the final quarter. He finished the game with 28 points, and there's no doubt that Partizan will desperately need this version of Sterling Brown for the remainder of the season, especially in their pursuit of the ABA League title.
