Thierry Henry on Bradley Barcola: He needs to start delivering soon

Former France international and television pundit Thierry Henry has issued a warning to Bradley Barcola, insisting the winger must start delivering soon. The 24-year-old Frenchman arrived at Anfield in a blockbuster £123 million deal, but has found the going tough in his opening matches under new manager Andoni Iraola, failing to score or make a notable impact in his first five appearances in England.

Henry believes Barcola still needs time to adapt to English football. "It's not always easy when you're used to a specific system and style of play where everyone knows what's happening at every moment," the former Arsenal striker said. "He has only just arrived at Liverpool, doesn't speak English, and the style and intensity of the league are different. You can see that anyone who comes into Luis Enrique's system shines."

Henry stressed that due to Barcola's reputation and hefty price tag, patience will be in short supply. "Given his back-to-back Champions League titles, his appearances for the French national team, his price tag, and the qualities he possesses, people aren't going to wait for him to become the finished article," Henry added. "He will need to start producing soon because expectations are high. At times his finishing lacks precision, but he creates an incredible amount of chances."
