The Wait Is Over: Isak Resumes Team Training Tomorrow

Alexander Isak is set to rejoin full team training with Liverpool on Thursday, according to international reports. The Swedish international's return, following treatment for a fractured ankle and fibula, comes as the English club battles for a Champions League spot. The striker required surgery to recover from injuries sustained during a match against Tottenham on December 20th.

"Having him back in the squad is an incredibly positive development. It will be very beneficial for us," Liverpool manager Arne Slot told the club's official website. "Alex is in a really good position because Sweden has qualified for the World Cup, and he will train with the team again for the first time tomorrow."

Sweden was one of the last teams to secure a spot at this summer's World Cup in North America. The Scandinavians defeated Poland 3-2 in the playoff final.
