The Obvious Question: Why Isn't Miljenović Playing More?

Miljenović scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out five assists, finishing the game with an index rating of 30. It's clear the Serbian player possesses significant talent, but why isn't he playing in the EuroLeague? That's a question only the team's coach, Saša Obradović, can answer.

Young players need patience, and Miljenović is certainly one whose time is yet to come. He's shown in multiple games that he can compete with EuroLeague players, both offensively and defensively. Of course, mistakes happen – that's a standard part of development. But still, it makes no sense for Yago dos Santos to play while Miljenović doesn't. He has so much more to offer, and at this point in the season, that's abundantly clear.

It's understandable that a large number of players need to be given respect and opportunities. Everyone deserves a chance. Zvezda is under additional pressure, which means players with larger contracts must play, and those with more experience also get priority. However, this young man, who came in under the radar, has proven he deserves an opportunity, and that's quite clear to anyone following the red-and-whites this season.

The number two player delivered a perfect audition for the rest of the season. Scoring 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists is no small feat, regardless of the opponent, especially against a EuroLeague-caliber team with equally high ambitions. The composure, dedication, and bravery Miljenović displayed in this game are admirable, and simply put, he needs to play more, not just in the ABA League. The most crucial period of the season is approaching for the red-and-whites, a time when champions are forged, and Miljenović undoubtedly possesses that quality.
