Robbie Amell to return to show as villain

 
 
Robbie Amell will return to CW's hit series "The Flash," but not as the much loved superhero "Firestorm," who sacrificed himself to save Central City from being destroyed.

The CW has revealed via EW that Robbie Amell will reprise his role as Ronnie Raymond in an upcoming episode of "The Flash."

According to EW, the former superhero will be the Earth-2 version of Raymond, who instead of playing the heroic Firestorm, will be the villain, Deathstorm.

Ronnie Raymond was previously the other half of the Firestorm, who sacrificed himself in the second season premiere to save Central City from destruction.

"The Flash" stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West.
