Partizan's matchup against ASVEL was covered live on Sportal.
Partizan failed to secure their second consecutive EuroLeague victory after suffering a dramatic late collapse in Villeurbanne.
"First of all, congratulations to ASVEL on their win. It feels terrible. I think we completely lost our rhythm in the final five minutes. Credit to ASVEL for believing until the end and finding a way to turn the game around," Peñarroya stated in the post-game press conference.
The coach noted that the black-and-whites encountered major issues on both ends of the floor.
"In the last four minutes, we struggled immensely to generate quality shots and get to the free-throw line. Our defense faltered, giving up easy baskets, including that crucial three-pointer from Besson. It really feels like we let a great opportunity slip to claim another away win. Every game is a 40-minute battle—that's EuroLeague basketball."
He refrained from offering an in-depth breakdown right away.
"I'll need to rewatch the tape to analyze it properly, but it's clear we completely froze in those final four minutes, and that simply wasn't normal."
Partizan now sit at a 4-4 record on the season. Their next EuroLeague test comes this Friday on the road against Žalgiris in Kaunas.
