The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19 across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Spain is set to compete in Group H against Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay.

Yamal sustained the injury while converting a penalty in Wednesday's La Liga match, giving Barcelona a 1-0 lead over Celta Vigo. The eighteen-year-old forward scored in the 40th minute and immediately signaled to the bench that he was injured, falling to the ground and clutching the back of his leg.

Medical staff attended to him on the pitch, causing a lengthy stoppage in play. He eventually walked off under his own power. Yamal is expected to make his World Cup debut this summer, having helped Spain secure the European Championship title two years ago.

Barcelona managed to win the match 1-0, extending their lead at the top of the table to nine points over Real Madrid. Six fixtures remain in the season, including El Clásico, scheduled for May 10. This information was reported by AFP.
