Use your touch screen phone as a biometric scanner

With this new software, the sensors on a capacitive touchscreen will be able to identify any relevant body part, during scanning.

Experts say before now, it was impossible to use your mobile phones capacitive touch screen as a scanner, because it has low resolution.

But recently researchers from Yahoo, have come up with a way to use your mobile phone’s touchscreen as a biometric recognition system.

Basically, what they are trying to do, is to enable you unlock your phone by just putting your ears to the screen.

They say just by putting your ears or knuckles on your mobile touch screen, the sensors on the screen will check the body part presented for scanning, authenticate it, and then unlock your phone.

Though it is in the testing phase, they have expressed optimism regarding its marketability and worldwide adoption.
