DSTV dolls out free education bouquet

Multichoice has given five high schools in Kenya the opportunity to explore the benefits of e-learning, courtesy of its Resource Centre Programme (CSR).

The Resource Centre Programme (CSR) provides digital satellite technology and free access to DSTV education bouquet.

The programme that kicked off in five Meru schools; Ntakira, Mweru, St Mary’s, Nchuui, Uringu, will spread out to 200 schools in the Meru, Nyeri, Mombasa, Narok, Nakuru and Kisumu regions,reports say.

“The DStv Education Bouquet provides a rich and varied learning resource environment that encourages exploration and brings subject matter to life. It is both a reference source and means for teachers to explain difficult concepts in a visual manner”, MultiChoice Kenya Corporate Communications Manager, Philip Wahome said.

The multichoice resource centre programme was implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Kenya.

Wahome said: “While MultiChoice leverages its technology platform and content as a powerful learning tool, our partnership with the Ministry of Education ensures capacity building and ongoing support of teachers unlock the full potential of the resources in the classroom”.
