Tebas: As long as Florentino is Real Madrid president, our relationship won't improve

La Liga President Javier Tebas addressed the media regarding the ongoing controversy with Real Madrid, referencing his previous day's post on the social media platform 'X'.

When questioned about Real Madrid's official statement, he commented: "If I weren't responsible, I wouldn't have been here for twelve years. We've been in this situation with Real Madrid TV for many years, and when things go wrong at the club, they criticize everything and everyone, which is a shame. It's a lack of respect for everyone – for La Liga, for the clubs, and for the fans."

Regarding the contentious moments in the derby, Tebas stated: "I understand the criticism, but I cannot accept claims that the league is tainted. Some people clearly view Bellingham's action through different lenses than the rest of the world. In no way could that have been a red card. As for the situation with Kang-in, the action could have warranted a red card, but it wasn't as obvious as others claim."

Concerning his relationship with Florentino Pérez, the La Liga president was unequivocal: "As long as Florentino Pérez is president of Real Madrid, our relationship is irreparable. The problem lies in the football model that Florentino proposes, and we do not support it. If there's another president in the future, we'll see. I completely disagree with the current management, but I have nothing against Real Madrid. It's been my team since I was a child."
