CBS Television Network's coverage of the big game undefinedon Sunday, February 7, 2016, has emerged the third most watched programme in the U.S TV history with an estimated average of 111.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen.

The numbers however failed to beat that of last year, which is still the most watched program ever with 114.4 million viewers, and second most watched program is the 2014 Super Bowl with 112.2 million viewers.

Last night’s Super Bowl peaked with an average of 115.5 million viewers from 8:30-9:00 PM, ET.

According to Nieslen, the live stream drew 3.96 million unique viewers across laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.

On social platforms,The Big Game is currently the most Tweeted event of the year so far.
