Lithuania now more corrupt than Nigeria [Ghana ranks 3rd]

Lithuania is perceived to be the country with the most widespread government corruption, according to an international survey involving almost 40 countries.

The citizens from each country were asked a simple question

'Is corruption widespread throughout the government in this country, or not?'

US pollster Gallup conducted phone interviews in countries with a free press, as indicated by Freedom House's press freedom rankings, asking respondents whether they believed corruption was widespread in the government of their country.

As this chart from statista shows, 90 percent of people in Lithuania said 'yes' to this question.

Ghana ranks 3rd with majority of it citizens saying the government is very corrupt.
