#‎GoPoethick talent-storm set to shut down OAU on March 14

On Saturday 14th of March, 2015, poets, musicians and lovers of the creative arts will converge at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, for the #GoPoethick show.

GoPoethick, the brainchild of a 19-year-old student of the institution, Ajakaye Victor Oluwatobi aka 'Veekthur d LyricPoet', is a spoken word, poetry and music event.

According to the organizers, the best contemporary talents, from all over the country and other student-talents will be in attendance.

"GoPoethick is a poetic ARTmosphere featuring sensational performances by young talented musicians and performance poets, including award winning Spoken-Word artists like Graciano and Kemistree; musicians and instrumentalists like Olu-Yonder, Noel, Abiola Inioluwa, Penny Emmy and a host of others," LyricPoet told .

The event has been endorsed by renowned poetry promoter, publisher and former Chairman Association of Nigerian Authors, Abuja, Eriata Oribabhor, Prof. Gbemisola Adeoti of OAU, Words Rhymes & Rhythm, Nigeria's largest poetry platform and other prominent literary figures with Pulse.ng, Nigeria's largest online news and entertainment platform as online media partner.

A lecturer at the institution, Ms. Aderonke Ogundiwin, described the event as 'laudable'.

"Words are powerful and poems are impactful. The use of words is natural but the ability to use words to reach the deepest part of the human soul is a rare gift; some have it, but few effect it," Ogundiwin said.

"GoPoethick is a laudable initiative and a worthwhile effort that celebrates poets and much more their poems.

"It’s a function to attend."
