The Portuguese tactician replaces Gary O'Neil, who guided the French side to an eighth-place finish in Ligue 1 and the Europa League semi-finals before returning to England to join Ipswich. Oliveira arrives from Portuguese top-flight team Famalicão, where he led the squad to fifth place in the 2025-26 season.
