The stories of being single and the institution of marriage never gets old, that’s why S & S Creative Media Co. in conjunction with the British Council for the Lagos Theatre Festival address these issues in the stage production.

Still single in gidi showcases every unique and often hilarious situations experienced by many singles in Lagos, woven into a tapestry designed to enlighten and entertain.

The play was directed by Belinda Yanga-Agedah and featured Timi Charles-Fadipe, Toni Tones, Omoye Uzamere, Charles Etubiebi, Oludara Egerton-Shyngle, Goodness Emmanuel, Omobola Akinde, Patrick Oke Jnr and Rita Edward.

Written and Produced by Sheila Ojei and Shirley Urhobo-Enebong, 'Still Single in Gidi' was staged on the 3rd and 4th of March at the Agip Hall, Muson Centre. It addresses themes that are relevant to us today such as single parenthood, colourism, Yoruba demons, asoebi, engagement rings and many more.

After 3 successful shows, Single in Gidi returns on stage, in Abuja and Lagos in September and December respectively.
