In his initial statements to the club's media, Sineiro expressed a "very good feeling" and stated that Sporting's history "obliged" him to accept the invitation. "I'm ready for us to start working," he affirmed.

The transition to women's volleyball follows several seasons in the men's sector, where he was part of the coaching staff at Castêlo da Maia GC and AJ Fonte do Bastardo, before taking charge of Leixões SC in 2021/2022. The new challenge was a decisive factor. "I felt I needed a challenge, and women's volleyball is different," he explained, adding that "the club's grandeur and the possibility of fighting for titles and participating in European competitions meant I could only accept the offer."

The primary objective is clear. "Sporting has not yet won the Women's National Championship, and that is also a personal goal," the coach revealed. To achieve this, he believes it's crucial for the team to consistently be present in decisive moments. "The club must systematically be in those moments, and that is our first objective. Then, of course, to win titles."

To reach these goals, Tiago Sineiro aims to build a team with well-defined characteristics. "It has to be a team with immense will and ambition. Regardless of the season's stage, the goal must always be to play to win, being fierce, combative, but also very organized," he stressed.

João Fidalgo, the sport's coordinator, justified Sineiro's selection, describing it as a "firm and strong commitment." Fidalgo lauded the coach's career, highlighting his "absolutely incredible work at Leixões SC," which saw the team finish third in the last league. "His value in Portuguese volleyball is more than proven," Fidalgo emphasized.

The coordinator believes the new coach will bring fresh ideas and contribute to the sustained growth of the section. "He is someone who will bring new things and with the prospect of fighting for major achievements, both in the near and distant future. I have no doubt he will," concluded João Fidalgo.
