A starter and full-time player in Sporting's first two official matches of the 2026/27 season, Gonçalo Inácio remains firmly with the Lions, despite circulating reports suggesting negotiations with AC Milan for the defender, allegedly led by Jorge Mendes.

A BOLA understands that, at this moment, such a scenario is not on the cards. This is not only because there has been no opening for negotiation between Sporting and the Rossoneri, but also because Inácio's agent is Miguel Pinho. Pinho, in fact, has represented the player since he was 13 years old.

Furthermore, according to information gathered by our newspaper, the San Siro club does indeed have the center-back on their radar. However, there is no indication of any potential developments on this front during the current transfer window, especially since Gonçalo Inácio now holds increased responsibility in the Sporting dressing room, having been named captain.

It's worth remembering that the Portuguese international's release clause is set at 60 million euros.
