Spain Matches Italy's Record for Longest Unbeaten Run

The Spanish national team continues its impressive unbeaten streak, matching the world record previously set by Italy.

Luis de la Fuente's squad secured their place in the World Cup final after defeating France 2-0 in the semi-final clash. With this victory, "La Furia Roja" extended their run to 37 consecutive matches without a loss.

Spain's last defeat in a competitive fixture dates back to March 2023, when they fell 2-0 to Scotland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. Since then, the team has embarked on a 37-game unbeaten run, comprising 28 wins and 9 draws.

This achievement sees Spain draw level with Italy's record, who also went 37 matches without defeat between September 2018 and October 2021 under the guidance of Roberto Mancini.
