South Africa's Eskom asks for extra 12.6 pct tariff hike: regulator

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African power utility Eskom has asked for an extra 12.61 percent increase in electricity tariffs, the national energy regulator said on Friday.

The National Energy Regulator of South Africa, which has already approved a 12.69 percent hike for the 2015/16 fiscal year, said it was considering the application.
