23-year-old Emtee bagged Record of the Year,Male Artiste of the Year and Best Rap Album.

Black Coffee wins Album of the Year, Best Dance Album and Best Engineered Album as well as a pre-announced International Recognition Award. The celebrated act was unavoidably absent due to his ongoing summer tour in Europe and the United States of America, and had to settle for a video recorded speech, though he had his mother on ground to accept the awards on his behalf.

“I’m grateful to be in this position to take our music, culture and just our flag and fly it around the world” Black Coffee said in a video to his fans. “This message is for every kid in the township who thinks they don’t have what it takes. Trust your dopeness.”
