Minister asks NFF to explain how it spent $500,000 meant for Eagles friendly

Sports minister, Solomon Dalung has asked the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to explain how it spent the $500,000 meant for the Super Eagles friendly with Senegal.

Dalung raised the issue when the NFF requested that their monthly allocation be released so they can pay the appearance fees of the players.
According to Daily Post, the NNF raised the $500,000 from sponsors, which was spent on accommodation and feeding.
The sports minister has however said that the NFF’s allocation will not be released until he gets a detailed explanation on how the funds were spent.

The friendly between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Senegal, was played on Thursday, March 23, 2017, and it ended in a 1-1 draw.
