An attempted burglary at Lamine Yamal's house in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona, was thwarted last night thanks to the swift response of his private security team. Guards spotted two masked men scaling a wall on security cameras before the intruders fled and the Catalan police, the Mossos d'Esquadra, were notified.
According to the newspaper La Vanguardia, the attempted break-in occurred just hours after Lamine Yamal featured in Spain's victory over France, which secured the team's place in the World Cup final.

The player's private security personnel noticed two masked individuals attempting to breach the property and immediately activated their emergency protocol.
The Mossos d'Esquadra arrived at the address and have opened an investigation into the attempted robbery. Meanwhile, the criminal investigation division is analysing the camera footage in an effort to identify the suspects.
This incident comes amidst a series of recent burglaries in the same residential complex and the activity of organised gangs targeting footballers' homes across Europe. These groups are often drawn to their collections of jewellery and watches, such as the expensive accessories the Barcelona player showcases on social media.
The property, well-known to the media as it previously belonged to Gerard Piqué and Shakira, came back into the spotlight after the Spanish international gave a public "house tour" video just before leaving for the World Cup.
In February, Pau Cubarsí and Joan García became the latest victims in a wave of burglaries at the homes of Barcelona players in the area. In the centre-back's case, thieves took advantage of the young player being at training after the Christmas break to enter his home in Baix Llobregat and steal, among other items, a high-end watch. Days later, the goalkeeper suffered a similar attack while in Saudi Arabia for the Super Cup. The intruders stole jewellery and cash after triggering his house alarm.
In both incidents, the stolen goods were valued at around €6,000, and the Mossos d'Esquadra launched separate investigations through their criminal investigation division. However, initial findings suggest that the same group was not responsible for both robberies.
