Slovakian Goalkeeper a Hurdle in Title Race; Guardiola Admits Issues, Sends Message to Arsenal

Spanish midfielder Rodri will miss Manchester City's Premier League matchday 34 fixture against FC Burnley on Wednesday. Should the Citizens defeat the team featuring Slovakian international goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka as their number one, they will draw level on points with current league leaders Arsenal London.

Rodri played a crucial role in the 2-1 victory over Arsenal but didn't finish the match due to groin issues. "In my opinion, Rodri won't be ready for Wednesday's game, but I believe he could be available for the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton or the league clash with Everton. Pedri and Bernardo Silva have a wealth of experience and are incredibly important for us," City manager Pep Guardiola told British media.

The Spanish coach anticipates the title race will go down to the wire. "Both we and Arsenal are well aware that we can't afford to drop any more points until the end of the season. It would be incredibly difficult to make up any lost ground then. We have a packed schedule and tough opponents ahead," added Guardiola, who could secure his seventh English title with City in nine years.
