Man, 29, arrested for selling 2-yr-old for 300 thousand naira

Operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, of the Lagos State Command have arrested a 29-year-old upcoming actor , Kanayo Awurum, who sold his two-year-old baby for N300,000.

The suspect who has featured in seven Nollywood movies, however blamed his action on poverty and lack of roles in movies, while recuperating from an auto crash.

He disclosed further that a friend whose identity he gave simply as Emmanuel, sold the idea to him when he approached him for financial assistance, adding that Emmanuel also introduced him to the buyers; Nkechi Obi and Gladys Nwobodo , who came all the way from Port Harcourt to Owerri, Imo state , where the transaction took place.
