Fans Blast Banky W Over Attack On MAMAs Best New Act Winner 2014

Popular Nigerian R&B singer Banky W was the centre of hateful comments on Twitter Saturday night, June 7 after he 'openly' criticised the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) choice for the Best New Act winner – Cameroonian rapper Stanley Enow.

The singer was obviously very disappointed that his "Nigerian" brothers, Phyno and Burna Boy lost out to the Central African rapper whom, many believed he was hearing his name for the first time. He posted,

Few seconds after his post, the "Strong Thing" singer received multiple of hateful tweets from fans who thought he should have kept his opinion to himself and not air it out on the social media site.
