The sale of Sevilla to an investment group led by Sergio Ramos is reportedly progressing swiftly and with optimistic prospects, with a change of ownership potentially occurring as early as May or June. This information was reported by journalist Juan Antonio Pineda of Radio Marca, citing sources close to the club.

The process is so advanced that the prospective buyers are already planning the club's future structure. "We're told that the group Ramos is bringing in is very well on its way, so much so that this group is convinced they will acquire Sevilla and has already outlined its sporting organizational chart, including a general manager and sporting director," Pineda revealed on La Pizarra.

This is a significant financial operation, with a total value exceeding 400 million euros, from which the club's existing debt will need to be subtracted. "We were told yesterday that the total operation will surpass 400 million euros. The debt must be deducted from this amount," the journalist detailed.

The deal could conclude rapidly, as the exclusive due diligence period is nearing its end. "They told us this is expected to be resolved in the short term. Among other reasons, because this exclusive audit period will conclude in just a few days, within one or two weeks," Pineda explained.

Despite the club's unfavorable financial statements, the debt does not appear to be a deterrent for the investors. "The accounts they found, which are poor and show debt, more or less align with what this group led by Sergio Ramos expected," the journalist stated, emphasizing the optimism surrounding the process. "Yesterday, they told us they were quite optimistic that the matter could be resolved and that a change of ownership at the club could happen as early as May or June."

Sergio Ramos's role in this operation has been central and far more active than that of other figures in similar projects. "I believe his involvement will be more significant than, for example, Villa's case at Atlético Madrid," Pineda compared. The former player was directly involved in attracting investors and negotiations, alongside his brother and other trusted associates.

His involvement was so direct that, according to the journalist, Ramos was in Seville personally negotiating with the club president and the lawyer overseeing the process, Pérez Solano. "He was in Seville, he negotiated with the entity's president himself, with the person leading the negotiation, who is Mr. Pérez Solano, Sevilla's lawyer," he recounted.

While his future position within the club's structure is yet to be defined, Sergio Ramos is expected to assume a prominent role. "I believe he played such a crucial part in the negotiation and in bringing these investors together, that it's only natural he will have a very significant role," Pineda concluded, adding: "If you ask me about the specific position, I can't say because we don't have that information yet, but he wants to have his share of responsibility."
