Poland – Serbia
Match Preview
A victory for Serbia's cadets against Poland at the European Championship in Oradea would be hugely significant. This is because in the Round of 16, our team will cross paths with a group featuring the Czech Republic, Turkey, Latvia, and Italy. The match kicks off at 12 PM, and a better group placement would secure us a lower-ranked opponent from Group B.
The game is being played in Oradea, Romania. Following this match, our young talents will have a rest day.

The Serbian cadet basketball team suffered a narrow 75-73 defeat to Romania in the second round of EuroBasket. The Serbian cadets gave their all to beat Romania, but it simply wasn't meant to be. The tournament hosts clinched the victory with a buzzer-beating shot from Sebastian Petru-Lapuste, leaving the 'Eaglets' without a win.

The coaching staff includes head coach Branko Milisavljević, assistant coaches Mirko Bucalo, Goran Ristić, and Igor Mijajlović, conditioning coach Veljko Samac, physiotherapist Luka Anđić, doctor Veljko Veličković, and delegation head Aleksandar Smiljanić.
Apart from one injury to Kaplarević in the match against Spain, we haven't had any other health issues, which is crucial for this age group and the level of exertion. I must emphasize that in the final phase of preparations, we had 14 players, and the toughest part of the job was informing two of them that they wouldn't be traveling with us. All the players who were there showed immense desire to play for the Serbian national team through their behavior, dedication, and attitude towards everyone. Through discussions with Vice President Krstić, we concluded that the evident progress of the players in every sense is a direct result of everything I've mentioned – the conditions, atmosphere, training sessions, and games. This is the only direction and guideline for how we should work, how we should invest in these generations, and that's why it's vital to maintain continuity in our efforts. – Statement from head coach Branko Milisavljević before departing for Romania.
