Legislators suspend proposed amendment of CCB/CCT Act

“Senate also suspends the Amendment of the CCB/T Act and the ACJ Act,” the official Twitter handle of the Senate wrote.

The planned amendment had generated controversy due to the belief that it was an attempt to save Senate President, Bukola Saraki from his ongoing trial at the CCT.

Saraki has been accused of asset declaration fraud and is alleged to have committed the offence during his tenure as the governor of Kwara State.
