Nate Rivers, the Spanish team's power forward, delivered an impressive performance in Italy, scoring 33 points (7/8 from two-point range, 5/5 from three-point range) in just 21 minutes on the court. This, combined with 10 rebounds, earned him a performance index rating of 44, undoubtedly securing him the MVP award for this round. Alongside him, Branko Badio was the only other player in double digits for the winning team, contributing 15 points.

For Virtus, who suffered their second consecutive loss under Serbian coach Nenad Jakovljević, Carsen Edwards exploded with 26 points. However, he lacked support from his teammates, as only Saliu Niang (12 points) and Derrick Alston (10 points) also reached double figures.

Valencia played another excellent game, continuing their climb towards the top of the EuroLeague. They are now just one win shy of Fenerbahçe and Olympiacos, who currently share the top spot.

Rivers was the undisputed hero, sinking shots from all over the court. Valencia held the lead for most of the game, and while Virtus managed to close the gap on several occasions, the naturalized Hungarian international always had an answer, securing another EuroLeague victory for the Spanish squad.

Valencia now sits in a tie for third place in the elite competition with a 22-13 record. In the next round, they will host Olimpia Milano. Virtus, on the other hand, is in 17th position with a 13-22 record, and their next fixture sees them at home against Bayern.
