The Norwegian national team was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup after a Saturday night loss to England. The 2-1 extra-time defeat at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami sealed their exit from the tournament... but it didn't dampen their spirits.
"It's time for vacation," exclaimed Erling Haaland at the end of a historic and grueling campaign. The sting of defeat was forgotten just hours later... at a well-known Miami nightclub.
The vast majority of the Norwegian squad headed to the Eleven nightclub to catch a performance by artist Flo Rida. Benfica players Andreas Schjelderup and Fredrik Aursnes were part of the entourage... and the young winger, who scored a stunning goal against England, certainly stood out.
Schjelderup, one of the most exuberant, put on quite a show, drink in hand, grooving to the American artist's tunes. Beside him, Haaland danced with the lightness of someone who had already shed the pain of their final moments in the 2026 World Cup. Norway embraced their tournament elimination with the joy of a team that had made history.
