According to the official match report, after Agioi Anargyroi secured the victory, a member of Koropi's coaching staff violently slammed the referee locker room door just as Tsouri was closing it. The door struck her in the face, causing a deep laceration and heavy bleeding.

Immediate medical assistance was provided at the scene by the on-duty physician and one of the players, after which police and emergency services were called. The injured referee was then transported to the hospital, where she received stitches.

The South Attica Basketball Referees Association reacted to the incident, strongly condemning the violent behavior and demanding an urgent response from the relevant authorities.

The statement emphasized that officials must never be subjected to threats, pressure, or physical assaults, and that their personal safety must remain an absolute priority. They called for disciplinary proceedings to be opened, a thorough review of all evidence, and severe punishment for those responsible.

Additionally, the association called for the introduction of stricter safety measures to protect referees, particularly regarding the securing of areas around the locker rooms and preventing unauthorized access.

"Silence is not an option. Respecting the referee means respecting the sport itself," the Association stated.
