Argentina's head coach, Lionel Scaloni, shared his expectations for the World Cup semi-final clash against England and discussed the team's preparations for the decisive stage of the tournament.
"It's possible there will be some changes depending on how we prepare for the match. You'll find out everything. Our idea is to field the best team we have available. The lads are in good shape. The team that plays in the semi-final will be the one I consider the strongest. No player gets on the pitch because of what they've done in the past, but because of what they're doing right now," Scaloni stated at the pre-match press conference.
"It would be crazy to think this is anything more than a football match. The players understand that perfectly. We're playing a World Cup semi-final. It's very difficult to reach a World Cup semi-final without going through trials and tribulations," he added.
The semi-final match between England and Argentina will take place today at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Kick-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM Bulgarian time.
