Hair is a woman's crowning glory and as every lady can attest to, the quest to healthy-looking hair is a never-ending journey that can be likened to the search for the philosopher's stone.
As with all things relating to beauty and fashion, there are various theories that abound on what should be done to attain luscious hair.
How long should one leave in relaxer and can serum be used for natural hair? These are just a few of the commonly asked questions when it comes to hair and we posed them to celebrity hair stylist, Sari of Sari Signature.
Here's what he had to say.
- On Relaxing Hair:
Don't leave relaxer in hair for more than 15 minutes. It doesn't need to hurt or stay for that long. Every hair has something akin to bones in it. The relaxer is to soften the bone to make it bend, when you over relax the hair, it kills the bone.
- The Use of Serum:
Oil is not for weave, its for the scalp. Serum is treatment for hair, to close the tips and make it silky. Just one drop to make it shiny and it should not be every day.
So there you have it ladies, over-stretched hair is a no-no and tone it a notch down with the serum on weaves.
