Former England international Jadon Sancho, currently a free agent, has turned down an offer from Getafe and is set to join a Saudi Arabian club instead, according to reports in Marca.
The Spanish outlet claims that reports in the British press suggesting the Madrid-based side offered an annual salary of just €400,000 were inaccurate, stating that Getafe had prepared a significantly higher package. However, it still fell well short of the €3 million Sancho had requested. Consequently, he rejected Getafe and, rather than following the path of recent free signing Dani Carvajal, will head to Saudi Arabia, where he is set to secure a salary exceeding his demands to the Spanish club. The 26-year-old winger has been without a team since his Manchester United contract expired in the summer.
