Toyota's 24-year-old driver, Sami Pajari, secured his maiden World Rally Championship victory today, finishing 19.5 seconds ahead of his teammate Oliver Solberg.
Pajari began the day with a 25-second lead over Solberg. Oliver, however, won both runs of the 24.39 km 'Kaariku' stage today, earning maximum points from the 'Super Sunday' and the Power Stage.
Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai) finished third. In today's opening stage, he extended his lead over teammate Thierry Neuville from 1.9 to 9.8 seconds, allowing him to drive more cautiously thereafter. This marks Fourmaux's first WRC podium since the Safari Rally, and Hyundai's performance on Estonia's fast gravel stages was encouraging.
Robert Virves (Skoda) clinched his second consecutive WRC2 victory on home soil in Estonia. The battle for second place in the category was decided in the final stage, where Teemu Suninen (Toyota) overtook Ruape Korhonen (Toyota).
