Sultan of Sokoto rallies support for Nyesom Wike’s administration

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III

The Sultan said this while meeting with Muslims living in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III has called on Muslims in Rivers state to support the government of Governor Nyesom Wike.

The monarch said since the elections have ended, it is wise for everyone to help Wike move the state forward.

According to Channels TV, Saad Abubakar III also asked them to always pray for Governor Wike’s progress.

He said “Now that the noise of the campaigns are over, support the leader to succeed. If the leader succeeds, the community benefits; if the leader fails, the community suffers the consequences.”

Speaking on behalf of the Governor, Wike’s Special Adviser on Niger Delta Development Commission, Mohammed Aribitonye thanked the Sultan for visiting Rivers state.
